Vinnie Medugno is a teacher, singer, and radio host. He teaches performing arts Media Broadcasting at his alma matter of Port Richmond High School in Staten Island New York, which he feels is his greatest accomplishment. As for his work in radio, he‘s worked alongside his mentor and friend, Joe Causi at WCBSFM 101.1 in New York City, where he learned his craft, which led him to being one of the pioneer personalities to bring music back to the legendary and 100 year old 77WABC, now heard weekly leading into Cousin Brucie, who hand picked Medugno for the time slot of Saturdays at 5PM! He’s interviewed stars such as Frankie Valli, Felix Cavaliere of The Rascals, and Peter Noone, along with many others. Recently, he was seen nationwide as part of TJ Lubinsky’s Doo Wop, Pop and Soul Generations special, tributing Gene Pitney, where Lubinsky said his performance was “one of the most chilling and incredible performances,” he’d witnessed in twenty five years of producing these specials.
He is no stranger to audiences and lovers of oldies music, as he has opened for many of the greats including Bobby Rydell, Frankie Avalon, Darlene Love, and Gary Puckett to name a few. He’s performed alongside his friends Bobby Wilson, The Chiclettes and The Coda Band with a high energy show that leaves oldies lovers feeling nostalgic and young again!
