Alice Spencer is an acclaimed singer, songwriter, and performer with a career spanning over 35 years. Born and raised in Houston,Texas, Alice hails from a musical family deeply rooted in traditional jazz. Her love of musicals led her to Webster Conservatory of Theater Arts in St. Louis, where she began singing professionally and fronting countless bands in a variety of genres. Alice also played the role of Patsy in the Arkansas Rep’s touring production of Always….Patsy Cline, and enjoyed a long stint with the popular Austin-based live act Shinyribs. Alice currently performs with Seth James, Jon Langford and The Bright Shiners, Bruce Robison, and maintains a residency at beloved Austin venue, Sam’s Town Point. Whether singing jazz, blues, or original compositions, Alice has a powerful voice, commanding stage presence, and a unique ability to interpret songs.
