Hey there, {First Name}! We’re just a heartbeat away from setting sail on this incredible Soul Train Cruise and the excitement is building. Before we dive into the waves of music and fun, here are a few friendly reminders to make sure you’re fully prepared.

🎶 Most Important Reminder

To avoid the heartbreak of missing the cruise, arrive at the cruise port before 2:00 PM. If you’re driving, please allow extra time for traffic or unexpected delays.

🎶 Luggage Tags & Passport Book

Luggage Tags:

These are for use at the cruise port only—not at the airport. Airport baggage handlers can easily tear them off, so keep them off your bags until you arrive at the port.

When you reach the cruise terminal, porters will collect your luggage at the curb. Make sure your luggage tags are securely attached before handing your bags over.

Passport Book:

Do not pack your passport in your luggage. You’ll need it during check‑in, and once your bags are taken by the porters, you won’t see them again until they’re delivered to your stateroom.

✈️ Return Flight Reminder

Please schedule your return flight at or after 12:00 PM (noon) to allow time for disembarkation and any potential delays.

Take a moment to review the Basic Pre‑Cruise Details, which answer many of the most frequently asked questions.

PLEASE READ: The Soul Train Cruise issued a Travel Advisory regarding the Winter Storm Weather this weekend stating:

"If you experience any travel issues or anticipate delays, please contact our office at (844)-266-7685 as soon as possible to keep us apprised of your situation. We do have staff available and working throughout the weekend to assist guests as needed."

Travel Insurance Protection — Still Available

It’s not too late to protect your financial investment.

With unpredictable winter storm weather across the country, this weekend and beyond, many guests are wishing they had purchased travel insurance. Good news: you still can.

As of yesterday (Tuesday, 1/27), our insurance partner, Travel Guard, confirmed that policies are still available and allowed guests to purchase insurance. If you’d like coverage, simply click the Travel Guard image below to complete the “Get a Quote” form and review your options or give us a call or text at 585-653-8746 to get a quote for you.

Water to Wine

No Plastic Water Bottles Allowed

Please note that Holland America states plastic water bottles are not allowed. However, an allowance of six liters, twelve (12) cans or cartons (500ml in volume or less) or six (6) cans or cartons (1 liter in volume or less) of water are allowed per stateroom. Any amount more than this allowance will not be permitted onboard.

You can order distilled/purified water at www.hollandamerica.com under Manage My Cruise in the Beverage Packages section. You may also bring your own distilled/purified water on board and store it in your stateroom.

Wine:

Guests of legal drinking age may bring wine and champagne on board, but a corkage fee of US $20.00 (subject to change without notice) will be applied to each bottle (750 mL in volume or less).

Join Us for SoulAtSea’s Annual Meet & Greet and Guest Appreciation Breakfast

Monday, February 2nd at 9:00 AM

Main Dining Room — Deck 1 Aft

You will receive a Meet & Greet invitation in your stateroom, along with a sweet welcome‑aboard Thank You Surprise (one per room). Please bring your invitation with you for admittance.

Enjoy a lovely breakfast, meet fellow cruisers, and pick up your Soul At Sea Goody Bag before heading out for your first soulful day at sea.

If your stateroom is missed for any reason, no worries—come on down. We’ll have someone at the door to check you in.

Not a big breakfast person? No problem. Stop by for a beverage and pastries, say hello, and grab your goody bag.

And yes—if you’re in full “first‑morning comfy mode” (pajamas, robe, slippers), you’re still warmly welcomed.

Sailing Day Details

We sail away on Sunday, February 1, 2026

Be at the cruise port by 2 PM EST

As noted on the Soul Train Cruise website:

It is your responsibility to arrive at the ship on time.

If you are not arriving the day before, plan to reach the port no later than 2:00 PM.

Choose a flight that allows enough time to deplane, collect luggage, travel to Port Everglades, and complete check‑in.

Do not pack your passport book in your luggage.

For your return flight, select a departure time of 12:00 PM or later.

Need a Mobility Scooter?

If you’ve made a last‑minute decision to use a scooter, the vendor still has units available. Orders placed over the next few days will be delivered directly to your stateroom.
