Donnie Allison
Part of the “Alabama Gang,” Donnie Allison is the brother of 1983 champion Bobby Allison and uncle of the late Davey Allison and Clifford Allison. His own career included 10 NASCAR premier series wins, but he might be best known for a final-lap crash and subsequent fistfight with Cale Yarborough in the 1979 Daytona 500. The race (which was won by Richard Petty) was the first to be nationally televised live in its entirety, and the post-race fisticuffs was viewed – and forever remembered – by millions.
